“When a person realizes he has been deeply heard, his eyes moisten. I think in some real sense he is weeping for joy. It is as though he were saying, 'Thank God, somebody heard me. Someone knows what it's like to be me'”
Carl R. Rogers
About Me
My name is Deb and I'm the lead practitioner at
Diverse Lives Counselling, Psychotherapy &
Mentoring Practice.
When life becomes overwhelming, it can be really helpful to talk things through with a fully qualified Therapist, in a warm and friendly environment. That's what I hope to provide for you.
Within my Private Practice, I have extensive experience of supporting children, young people, adults, couples and families, through a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties, and would be happy to have an informal chat with you about your requirements.
My therapeutic experience also includes 6 years of counselling children and young people for the NSPCC’s Childline, as well as counselling and mentoring for various schools and agencies. I hold both a Batchelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am a member of, and therefore work to the strict ethical standards of, both The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and The British Psychological Society (BPS).
